El Ten Eleven

Saw these guys live and it blew my mind. They loop everything and build each song live before your eyes and ears. Nothing is pre recorded. Not even the drum beats. It was incredible. Get into these guys.

The Civil Wars- Disarm

I like this cover. I love the Smashing Pumpkins.

Lord Huron

I hurried through Montana and Idaho so I could see Lord Huron at Kilby Court in Salt Lake. I made it with about 10 minutes to spare. I didn't get to see the opening bands but oh well, I got what I wanted. I've been following this band for a couple years now (they were one of my first posts in November of 2010) and haven't seen them so it was good to get that done. I met up with a few friends at the show and had a great time. Even got to hang out with the band afterwards while eating a burrito at Alberto's. It was a damn good night.

The Killers I really like this Abbey Road version. Solid.

Behind Sapphire

I like how these guys can pull off a cover like this and make it sound different yet true to it's original at the same time. At least that's what I think. Click here for more info on the band.

Hey Ocean!

I like the harmonizing in this song. Because of that they made it up here. Plus they're from Vancouver and that place rules.

Blue Jeans

Is there something wrong with two quick posts in the past few weeks or so about the same musical artist? Sure hope not. There is something about her singing style that is so captivating. Click here for her performance on Jools Holland.

Murder In The City

Not many songs I enjoy more than this one. Look out for this line, "Always remember there was nothing worth sharing Like the love that let us share our name". Can't think of a better line than that one.

Lord Huron- When Will I See You Again

Very enjoyable song. I liked how simple they made it for this outing by the shore. The version on their EP is good too but I like this version a bit better.
