Liberty Vintage Motorcycles

Handmade Portraits: Liberty Vintage Motorcycles from Etsy on Vimeo.
Came across this video and had share it. I respect this guy a lot. Sometimes I wish I would just quite what I'm doing and just work in a shop building motorcycles and cars.

Icon- Derelicts

So I've had my eye on the Los Angeles based company called Icon. They are best known for their work with the FJ 40 Landcruiser (my favorite vehicle of all time) but have really expanded over the past few years in which they also restore Broncos as well now. Jonathan Ward started the company with his wife and since 1996 they have been rebuilding Landcruisers from the ground up. This video is neat because it shows another side of Mr. Ward's passion for vehicles. I've always been drawn to the different patinas and rust colors associated with old classic cars. I would really like to put one together for myself sometime in the future. Working at Icon would be a dream come true. Photo credit and a link to a really good article with lots more pictures can be found here.

Southern California

I grew up my whole life in Southern California (age 5 to 25). Not too far from Los Angeles and all it had to offer, not too far from the beach and waves, not too far from the desert and mountains and its fresh air, not too bad of a place to be raised. I haven't spent much time in California over the past few years. Going to school in Hawaii and having your family relocate to Canada makes it more difficult to keep in touch with you roots; it sill doesn't change how dynamic a place is or what it's worth to you. I really enjoy this little video that showcases just a bit of what makes Southern California such a sought after place with so much to offer.

I know, I know... There is a lot of traffic and the San Fernando Valley isn't that cool but California is a great place. Cheers to a visit there in about a month or so.

Spring

I came across this video several months ago. I've revisited it several times since then because I enjoy it so much. This post is for all of you who live in areas that have cold and snowy winters. This may help give you hope about the end of all that and the start of spring. Thailand and Cambodia seem like necessary places to visit in the near future. I have a few friends heading that way soon and I'm jealous a bit. Check out the little tutorial on how the sequence of the plumeria flowers growing was created. Neato.
